A re-blog about the reversal of the YHR321. Note the high tech tools holding down the buffer…..sacks made from old socks filled with lead shot.


color buffNote the cool porcelain switch on my new/old buffer. It runs at 1150 rpm (high speed) and 575 rpm low speed. Also note the bags filled with lead shot that stabilizes the buffer on its (own) draft-person’s stool. As you know my spacious modern shop is awash in spare square footage…321#5-4without stabilizing lead sacks and color altering….The root cellar of hornrersA color altered pix of my spacious root cellar. 10′ X 14′ empty,  the work benches shrink the walk around to about 6′ X 8″  With a stand up work table in the middle…I tend to bump into stuff….

So back to the 321 reversal.321 new reversal-4This idea, has been cast aside. It was an attempt to simplify the reversal by using the backwards change valve.
